It is not too late!
I offer last minute birth care for individuals and families who unexpectedly find themselves needing extra support. I will come to you, whether at home or in hospital, to gently suggest comfort measures and offer consistent reassurance to you and your partner, if applicable. I am also able to provide practical support. I stay by your side, allowing your partner, if applicable, to get some rest and a bite to eat.
If connected early on, I love to spend the time to really get to know my clients. I value building a relationship and providing comprehensive education throughout pregnancy. This can create a more positive experience during your pregnancy, as well as help you gain confidence while preparing for childbirth and the early postpartum time. In addition to prenatal visits, your investment in my full doula care and birth support includes on-call availability and a guarantee that you will have a doula present at your birth.
I understand that it is not always possible to hire me early, perhaps you just learned of my services, or maybe you did not anticipate wanting a doula until now. There is value in having in-person support during childbirth no matter where or how you are birthing. If we end up having the time to meet at least once during your pregnancy that would be wonderful, otherwise we will just have to fast-track our connection. I am up for that too!

Last Minute Birth Care includes:
Free initial consultation on Zoom or over the phone
Ongoing phone & email support for up to 6 weeks postpartum
Continuous support for you (and your partner, if applicable) for the duration of the birth process
In-person support includes the use of a TENS machine at no extra cost
Immediate postpartum and breastfeeding support for up to two hours, to offer care and encourage the establishment of breastfeeding, if desired
Prenatal visits and postpartum visits may be added on.
Fees for last minute birth care:
Phone support. This option includes an initial educational consultation over the phone/Zoom and access to ongoing phone, text and email support during your birth, up to 6 weeks postpartum. The fee for off-site support is $250.
In-person birth support. This option includes an initial educational consultation over the phone and in-person comfort and guidance for the duration of the birth of your baby. Access to ongoing phone, text and email support up to 6 weeks postpartum, plus the use of a TENS machine is included. The fee for in-person support is $250, plus $75/hour up to a maximum of $1000 total cost.
Prenatal Visits. (2 hours each. In-person or online.) This time is for us to get to know each other, assess your needs and desires for birth, as well as define and understand our expectations of one another. I also provide assistance with birth preparation and gentle guidance on your transition to parenthood. The fee is $100/visit.
Postpartum Visits. (2 hours each) I will come to your home during your postpartum time to provide feeding assistance and answer any questions regarding infant care, share exercises for recovery, and discuss general postpartum health. I also offer a complimentary reflexology session. The fee is $100/visit.

Please understand that when you book my Last Minute Birth Care I am unable to guarantee my availability. I may have to leave your birth to go to another client’s birth who has booked into my full doula care and birth support services. If this happens, I will do my best to secure another doula for you, but again, it is not guaranteed.
